Bio and Artist Statement of Ed and Barbara Streeter

In 1986 Barbara and Ed Streeter were married under a Sweet Gum tree on the banks of the Waccamaw River. A few months later they opened their first glass studio on Main Street in downtown Conway, South Carolina. There they began their journey into the art of glass, creating stained glass windows for residences and churches. Since then the couple has worked together on hundreds of glass projects and today at Pop’s Glass ™  Studio they collaborate on design and color and work as a team to create their colorful collection of blown glass. The couple also teach classes in glass blowing, glass bead making and glass fusing. In addition, they hold free public demonstrations of glass blowing throughout the year to increase the appreciation of the traditional craft of glass blowing.

Eco-Logical Art Glass Series™

Their current work ECO-Logical Art Glass ™ focuses on raising the awareness of conservation and recycling. We believe most artists have a strong connection with nature and a love for mother earth. Pop’s Glass ™ is located just steps from the ancient Waccamaw River. Daily, it speaks to us and reminds us of its beauty and fragility. The Eco-Logical Art Glass ™ Series captures this essence in each piece and is handcrafted from recycled glass. The series includes blown glass bowls, vases and garden ornaments.
