Pop's Glass™ Gallery & Studio is located in historic downtown Conway,South Carolina. We are are a short drive from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.You may have noticed Conway on your way to the beach. Just turn off of Hwy 501 and head to the river! Our downtown is a few minutes off 501 and most people don't even realize we have a river walk with boating, marinas, kayaking, shopping, dining and GLASS BLOWING at Pop's Glass™ .
ECO-Logical Art & Music Event March 6th 10am – 5pm
To increase the awareness of conservation and recycling, Pop’s is hosting ECO-Logical an art event showcasing art created from recycled objects. “I believe most artists, regardless of their medium have a strong connection with nature and a love for mother earth Pop’s Glass is located just steps from the ancient Waccamaw River. Daily, it speaks to us and reminds us of its beauty and fragility.” ECO-Logical features blown glass and paintings created with recycled materials.
- Local folk artists Peggy Thibodeau’s fun and inspirational art is painted on recycled wood, windows and found objects. Peggy will be holding painting demonstrations in the gallery and will be available to talk about her work.
- Glass blowing demonstrations will feature the glass blowing process used in making the Streeter’s Eco-Logical Art Glass Series. Demos will be on going throughout the day 11 am – 4pm
- Pop’s Glass will donate 10% of the sales of their ECO-Logical Glass Series sold in March to Waccamaw Riverkeeper.
- Featured musician for the day is local favorite Brian Roessler performing his own original rock/folk tunes from 1pm – 3pm.
This event is part of CREATE! Conway’s ECO-Art Walk. Please come out, and support our efforts to raise awareness of recycling and conservation while enjoying the art and music events in downtown Conway. The art walk is 10am – 5pm and free.
